Renesas Electronics is planning a move in the power semiconductor market as part of an ongoing restructuring of the company which has seen it manufacture fewer of its chips and refocus its microcontroller business and move out of the mobile and consumer market. "The power IC and analogue parts business, we must have this, offering microcontrollers is not enough," Gerd Look Renesas European president and CEO told Electronics Weekly.
