Space Applications Services performs and supports system and software engineering for the European Space Agency ESA, National Space Agencies and the aerospace industry. We are involved in international manned unmanned spacecraft programmes, earth observation, science, exploration, communications and related technology development. We require staff, wishing to join our team to work in a dynamic international environment for the following position Resource Controller ENGSERVBMC201435 Tasks and Responsibilities The work will be performed at the European Space Research and Technology Centre ESTEC Noordwijk, The Netherlands. The postholder will be assigned to the Resource Management Office of the Directorate of Technical and Quality Management DTEC and will be responsible for Coordination and consolidation of multiyear workload andor workforce planning at competence level. Proactive workload andor workforce controlling, analysis and reporting. Interfacing with counterparts in other Directorates, such as programmeproject controllers, as well as within DTEC. Interfacing with Directorates line management in support of workloadworkforce issues. Facilitating the negotiations between the competency provider units and the corresponding counterparts in other Directorates. Analysis CentreRate evolution controlling. Proactively contributing to the definition, implementation and improvement of management support processes, methods and tools. Contributing to the multiyear performance assessment and specific analyses of the Directorate. Supporting colleagues in the team to ensure smooth operations and continuous high standard of service to internal and external customers. Qualifications, Experience and Skills A university degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline. Candidates should possess excellent analytical and reporting skills with the ability to manage large and complex data sets. Applicants should demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be client focussed. They should have proven ability to work autonomously, whilst being a cooperative team player in a diverse and international team. Rigour, commitment and reliability in the execution of the assigned tasks and capacity to identify priority actions. Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, including Access and techniques, electronic mailing, customised databases. Knowledge of web tools and familiarity with ESA corporate tools is an advantage.
