SWA head predicts FTA boost from Diageo's India buy - report

The head of the Scotch Whisky Association has said Diageo 's takeover of United Spirits could aid ongoing efforts to end India's import tariffs on spirits. In an interview with The Scotsman , David Frost said the majority acquisition, completed last year , could speed up talks over dropping the 150% tax.
