RHEA is currently recruiting a Satellite Payload Engineer to support the Telecommunications Directorate at our clients premises in Harwell, UK Tasks and Activities You will be responsible for the management of activities devoted to the development of payload technologies and products for telecommunications satellites. The scope of work shall include Support the initiation of activities related to technology and product development for payload applications Evaluation, negotiation, monitoring and control of development contracts and activities Support other members of the TIATTP section on their projects and share expertise within the section Monitor market and technology trends and developments in the area of satellite communication. Identify any issues during the procurement phase, the running or closing of an activity Provide inputs for the Department Business Intelligence management system. Skills and Experience University degree or equivalent in Engineering Minimum 7 years of experience in the design, analysis, qualification, testing and implementation of satellite payload equipment for telecommunication satellites Experience in the Management of development contracts for satellite payload equipment Knowledge of multiple active payload equipment and their functions at payload level Experience in the design, development andor exploitation of active RF units, such as low noise amplifiers channel amplifiers and linearisers power amplifiers frequency converters digital signal processors.
