Schlumberger evacuates Houston-area facility, but bomb threat a hoax

The bomb threat that caused Schlumberger Ltd. to evacuate a Houston-area facility on Jan. 29 turned out to be a hoax, according to several media reports. Schlumberger had evacuated its Rosharon facility south of Houston after a bomb threat was received around 1:15 p.m., the Houston Chronicle reported .
