Scranton area real estate market continues to lag

The inventory of homes in Lackawanna, Susquehanna and Wyoming counties, stepping up each year from 2007, approached 1,800 by the third quarter of 2014, according to a market report from the Greater Scranton Board of Realtors. The city of Scranton, whose real estate climate worsens as its government's financial crisis continues, has been a drag on the wider market, the local market analysis showed.
