Description RHEA Group is currently recruiting a Security Engineer to support the team in developing cybersecurity technologies and operational services for the space, critical infrastructure and defense markets. Tasks and Activities This roles entails working internally on cybersecurity product development activities, as well as working on specific customer projects. Product development activities entail for example working in the team developing a threat simulation and cyber range environment, or an incident response and decision support platform. Customer work may range from supporting proofofconcepts or pilots of these technologies cybersecurity research and development projects or otherwise deploying security technologies such as firewalls, network traffic analysers, cloud security solutions or potentially SIEM technologies. Occasionally you will be involved in developing proposals to customers as a subject matter expert for the relevant domains and you will also help the team in expanding its security services portfolio. Interact, share and learn with your international colleagues and participate in the wider cyber security communities to stay on par with the latest trends and events in this space. Skills and Experience A Master or Bachelor degree in IT or Information Security or equivalent experience in the domain of cyber security. You are a quick learner and open to acquire new skills through working a dynamic environment in a startup fashion. You have at least five years of experience in working with network and security technologies such as next generation firewalls, malware prevention, cloud access brokerage or content filtering. This implies a good understanding of network protocols TCPIP and common network architectures and concepts. You are also familiar with shell scripting python, bash, powershell and operation systems such as Red Hat and Windows. Preferably you have some experience security monitoring technologies, such as SIEM and analytics, as well as SOC operations. You understand the anatomy of a cyber attack and are able to propose solutions to detect, prevent and mitigate for each stage of the attack. SANS certifications are highly regarded other certifications are also considered a plus Effective time management and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Fluent in English How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level?
