ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY As a Strategic Teleport Partners Project Engineer you will manage thirdparty teleport commercial relationships in your region. You will also manage of all directly associated expenditure, budgets, overall cost control and strategy in conjunction with other key Engineering functions, Sales, Legal and Regulatory departments. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Lead the site search and selection process for SES new High Throughput Satellites HTS and O3b mPower gateways Negotiate technical, commercial, and contractual terms with newly selected and existing teleport partners. Develop and maintain Teleport Services Agreements TSA and related Service Orders for teleport partners in your region this will include drafting new service orders as additional uplinks and other new services are brought online Maintain a close working relationship with the SES Legal team to develop and refine the contractual documents required to implement third party services and new gateway hosting projects Manage the site selection process for new satellite services which are required to be uplinked by thirdparty teleports Research, qualify, and select thirdparty teleport sites to support Telemetry, Tracking Command TTC and Carrier Spectrum Monitoring CSM services Interface directly with SES Ground System Engineering and Operations groups to define project technical and operational requirements to develop Request for Proposal RFP and Statement of Work SOW documents Liaise directly with SES Sales, Accounting, Tax, Fleet Planning, Spectrum, and Regulatory groups throughout the planning and implementation phases of major projects Visit new potential sites to validate technical and operational suitability COMPETENCIES Negotiation Verbal and written communication Problem solving Analytical Selfmotivated Global cultural awareness Team work Prioritization QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Required Minimum 810 years of combined experience andor education in Electrical Engineering or similar field Moderate experience with satellite teleport operations Moderate experience with standard earth station equipment i.e. antenna systems, HPAs, frequency converters, and baseband platform equipment Moderate proficiency with Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point Moderate experience 15 internal and domestic travel Advanced proficiency with English, other languages a plus Preferred Bachelors in Science degree Experience with earth station design, network implementation, and engineering techniques as related to Geostationary, MEO, or LEO satellite operations Industry knowledge of key ground segment equipment vendors and teleport operators Proficiency with SAP Apply HERE
