Senior Software Engineer United States Manassas, Virginia Your Job SESs software engineers develop the nextgeneration products that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Were looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including system design, networking, security, machine learning, artificial intelligence, UI design the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific product team critical to SESs success. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the fullstack as we continue to push technology forward. The ideal candidate should have a wide range of technical experience and be able to effectively communicate software and data designs to senior management, department heads and to other organizational teams. The Senior Software Engineer will provide organization leadership in software development, data analytics, machine learning, AI and data governance. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong foundation developmental and data analytics and a wide range of experience in every aspect of software development. Your Responsibilities Help build a world class team of diverse software and data engineers and that cultivate innovation and bestinclass solutions Evaluate a wide range of technologies as part of a solution design and document the resulting designs and conclusions Identify multiple technical solutions for a given problem and identify strategies to bring the best solutions forward Provide crossteam guidance on best practices, software architectures and strategies that leads to a cohesive software and data systems Effectively communicate designs, solutions and procedures in writing and verbally Design and implement crossfunctional data analytics tools that lead to key insights and desired outcomes Work with multiple teams to design and implement bestinclass data backbone and analytics Provides mentoring support for other software engineers Acts as a leader on teams and crossorganization efforts and provides guidance in all aspects of software and data development Provides organization guidance on best practices and architectures to sernior management and department heads Serves as a technical architect and provides organizational leadership across multiple organizations, departments and teams Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines, and deliverable. Your Competencies Proficient with Go, Python, CC, Java, shell scripting and other highlevel languages Expert in data analytics with Splunk, R and statistical analysis, SAS or SSPS desired Proficient in working with machine learning and AI stacks, Splunk, ElasticSearch, Azure, others Experience with IBM Watson or other cloudbase MLAI tools Expert in various database and storage systems and backends , especially MSSQL, MySQL, Hadoop, or others Experience working with cloadbased service providers AWS, Azure, IBM, or others Expert with RedHatbased Systems including security policies Experience with virtualization technologies such as VNWare, HyperV, Citirx or others Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, LXM or others Your Profile Minium Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field experience may be substituted for education required Masters degree preferred Minimum 10 years of years of experience in the satellite and telecommunications industry required Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Data Analytics or related fields Industry certifcations in related fields desired Splunk certification desired Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal Whats in it for you?
