The Service Chain analyst is responsible for supporting all the systemlevel activities related to the monitoring of the ground segment subsystems responsibilities including as well the monitoring and reporting of the acquisition and ingestion of mission data, product generation and the maintaining of enduser and partner notification applications and processes. This position is based at customer site in EUMETSAT in Darmstadt. It is fulltime and permanent and expected starting date will be earliest February 2020. We are looking forward to meeting you! ResponsibilitiesDuties Your main tasks will be Monitor the End to End production, Timeliness Processing Dissemination via monthly KPIs System level monitoring tools installations and maintenance Op5, Nagios, GEMS, GSMC Report in the daily operations meeting for System level monitoring tools Compile XBand service statistics Conduct first level investigations on acquisition and production anomalies, escalate through the established channels UNS tool installations and maintenance End User and Partner Scheduled Maintenance Notifications Maintaining of SCPs, GCPs and SOIs Provide initial training, continuation and proficiency training to the Controllers and Analysts Assist and supervise the Controllers in realtime ground segment operations according to established procedures Monitor and coordinate operations with ESRIN, SALP and other external partners Incremental updates and development of the S3 Knowledge base as required Support PDGS OPS Meetings as requested and including PDGS System OPS ARB PDGS Joint ARB PDGS Data Processing ARB Participate in the on duty analyst rota On Call Backup Sentinel6 Service Chain Analyst. QualificationsExperience University degree in Science discipline Essential Skills The successful applicant will have a sound knowledge of the Sentinel3 System and will be certified to carry out shift work if required.
