Skyworks Price Target Up on Apple Smartphone Demand

"Based on recent carrier surveys and supply-chain conversations, we believe Apple is on track to ship 70 million iPhones in the fourth quarter," Pacific Crest Securities analyst John Vinh said in a research report Thursday. "Additionally, Samsung demand seems to be stabilizing based on a significant reduction in inventories and stable sell-through of the GS5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4." Skyworks Solutions was up 2% in midday trading in the stock market today , near 72. Since Jan. 3, the stock has climbed more than 160%.
