The successful candidate will mainly carry out sw maintenance and evolution tasks on complex, 24x7 operational data distribution systems. In more details, the activites may include among others the following tasks note the special focus on the more operations and maintenancerelated activities Requirements Analysis Interaction with relevant Operations Teams to include operational requirements. Interaction with data producers and consumers for possible requirement updates. Determine the operational, maintenance, and evolution needs of data dissemination. Definition of data dissemination systems and software requirements. Design Software corrections and evolutions. Support to the data dissemination design architecture definition. Identification, procurement or implementation of tools. Design, implementation and maintenance of data dissemination dataflows. Testing Regression testing for corrections and evolutions. Acceptance of external software. Integration Verification Validation IVV activities of data dissemination systems. Support to the Ground Segment IVV activities. Operational Support of the Data Dissemination System Monitoring the performance and behavior. Problem investigation and anomaly raising. Second line support and corrections. Configuration and installation of software. Support the delivery of externally developed software Communication with external contractors. Software reception, installation, configuration and testing. Generation and maintenance of technical documentation System and Software Requirements. Architectural Design. Interface Control Documents. Test Plans and Test Cases. Maintenance and Operational Procedures for operational systems. Participation and organisation of technical meetings and formal reviews. Preparation and production of routine reports as necessary. Required skills Experience in Formal software development analysis, design, implementation, testing, building, deployment Programming languages CC andor Java, andor Javascript Experience with Operating Systems shell scripting e.g. shell, bash, perl, python Knowledge of network protocols, mainly TCPIP, FTP, multicast Configuration control subversion andor git Optional skills Web and Cloud technologies Virtualized Systems vmware, containers, etc Software Continuous integration Meteorological Data Formats HDF5, NetCDF, JPEG2000, etc Spacecraft Ground Segment Job start ASAP. Position Reference 019 You will have the opportunity to be part of the Galileo System and service support, by assessing the performance of PRS service and coordinating the PRS validation activities. You will also take a major part in the definition of the PRS validation plan and relevant test plans, to define the test cases and test procedures to be executed and to prepare the test reports. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support the definition and the evolution of the PRS Service KPIs and the Service level targets for specific deployment stages corresponding to the service milestones Support the definition of the evolution of the PRS Service Definition document Evaluate the PRS service performance considering the impacts of operations and derive the necessary modifications to the OSRDOSRDx e.g. impact of operations on the continuity of service Support GSA to analyze and assess the reports provided by GSOp, in particular for what concerns PRS performance monitoring if available Support Exploitation Reviews by analyzing the PRS Performance evolution between consecutive periods provided by ESAWO and complementing the conclusions with the input coming from the System Operator and from GRC Ensure verification of the PRS service requirements progressively through the different service milestones complementing verification evidence provided by core infrastructure, operations and service facilities with verification evidence coming from service validation activity Produce the inputs related to the service facilities and operations to the aggregated VCD to MRD limited to PRS service Produce and maintain the PRS validation plan Ensure the consistency including schedule between PRS service validation plan and the PRS service implementation plans Ensure the consistency including schedule between PRS service validation plan and the System deployment and verification plans Ensure the consistency including schedule between PRS service validation plan and the Service Facilities deployment and verification plans Define the PRS service validation strategy Define the PRS service validation boundaries Define and plan the PRS validation test campaigns Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree or equivalent qualification in either physics, mathematics, electric or electronic engineering, aerospace engineering or telecommunications engineering, geodesy Knowledge of Mission Requirement Documents MRD Experience with PRS Requirement document Experience with PRS Service Definition document Experience with PRS Service Implementation plans Knowledge of the Galileo System architecture, performance, signal and in general of GNSS GPS, Glonass, EGNOS Former professional involvement in major Space Projects andor GNSS related services Knowledge of the design and requirements definition process for space systems Management of external and internal System interfaces Valid Security clearance by their national security administration where relevant How to Apply Looking to take your career to the next level? GSMC Service Engineer

Position Reference 019 You will have the opportunity to contribute to Galileo System and Service deployment by directly supporting the engineering processes related to the management of the GSMC documentation. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Installation of three DOORS licenses at GSMCF and related configuration Import on DOORS system of GSMC documentation as provided by GSA. Flowdown of the Galileo SvRD and PRS SDD to the GSMC SvRD, in coordination with the existing GSOp SvRD Updating and maintaining in GSMC DOORS database of the requirements documentation including the interfaces to external entities and creating the links to the relevant System, Service and Operations requirements.
