Currently seeking an experienced Engineer to work for Telespazio VEGA in support of ESAESTEC with development of software tools for engineering aspects of navigation systems. The primary purpose of the role will be to support the Radio Navigation Systems Techniques Section on software development for various navigation system design activities. Responsibilities Duties The key tasks and responsibilities, will include, but are not limited to Elaboration, development and promotion of software tools, applicable for different navigation projects, including preparation and promotion of relevant standards. Realtime simulation infrastructure and tools based on different platforms, including LINUX environments. Model Based System Software Engineering Ensuring the digital continuity starting from highlevel system models down to automatic code generation. The support will be provided to both internal RD and external projects activities with emphasis on the domains of Radio Navigation receivers and other System Verification Tools. QualificationsExperience Masters degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Space Systems Engineering, or related specialisation. Minimum 4 years experience in the development of Software tools related to the specific tasks of the position. Essential Skills The candidate should be familiar with modern software engineering practices and tools. Experience in software development of tools for Space Systems Software practical experience, Object Oriented design methods, databases, compilers, Linux, Windows as well as several programming and scripting languages such as C, C, Python, R, Haskell, Java Knowledge of modelling tools e.g. Matlab and libraries e.g. TensorFlow Desirable Skills Knowledge in ModelBased Software production, test processes and associated tools e.g. Capella, Magic Draw, Enterprise Architect, OnBoard Software Reference Architecture, TASTE is an asset. Knowledge in software standards space ECSS, aircrafts, train, automotive is interesting. Experience in GNSS and navigation systems is also interesting. Qualities Proficient in the English language spoken and written Very good organisation and communication skills, a proactive attitude to solving problems and an interest in innovative technologies Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and autonomously
