On behalf of the European Space Agency, we are looking for a highly skilled Software System Engineer to work in ECSAT, in the United Kingdom. SPECIFIC TASKS Your responsibilities will include the following Support the development of business intelligence solutions for internal and external customers and exploring new techniques for visualizing management information. Develop dashboards, providing management information with a sound understanding of the needs of the audience. Support the legacy systems and suggest options for a migration to a new emerging IT landscape. Contribute to the further digitalization of business processes. Contribute to the evolution of the TIA Data Warehouse, ensuring that data from different sources is structured, enriched and captures the business logic of the directorate. Actively exchange knowledge with team members andor other IT professionals in ESA and especially within the TIA domain. Develop and maintain application documentation including user guides and software developmentmaintenance documentation. Take responsibility for delivery of timely highquality results. Provide inputs to management reports. Follow the relevant and applicable ISO procedures and security directives. Maintain the required level of confidentiality and security as defined in the ESA Security Directives. REQUIREMENTS The applicant shall have a relevant university degree or equivalent qualification and experience in software development for business management applications and at least 4 years experience Handson experience with Business Analytics Software e.g, Tableau, Power BI, Python Technical knowledge and experience of the following technologies would be a distinct advantageMicrosoft SharePoint, SOA, SQL, HTTPHTTPS Protocol, REST, Email Protocols, LDAP, Unix CLI, HTML, CSS, JAVA 7, Javascript Experience with database and Data warehouse architecture MS SQL server, Datavault Builder is a distinctive asset Excellent analytical and planning skills Experience in collection user requirements, designing dashboards, defining KPIs DEADLINE 05072021 Please note that interviews canwill be held via skype, webex or other digital platforms.
