Software Validation OnBoard Ground Engineer MF SWSSERV201609ESTEC006 The successful candidate will join the Flight Software Systems Section of the Software Systems Division and shall function as an integrated team member of the development team. The work will be performed at the European Space Research and Technology Centre ESTEC in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Tasks and Responsibilities The successful candidate will be in charge of the following initial tasks Software Validation Facilities SVF and Avionics Test Bench ATB infrastructure support. Support the utilisation and upgrade of the ATB infrastructure including Emulators characterisation QERx Graphical tool in support the display of tasks and partitions resources for TSPbased applications Interface adaptations between SVF and Eurosim in the LEON configuration of the ATB Integrating technology development into the ATB infrastructure for assessments Upgrade the ATB EagleEye mission to use the latest version of RTEMS Integration of QERx into the ATB Integration of LEON emulator LEONSVF Integration of RTEMS on the RASTA Integration of the ESOC LEON emulator Integration of the TSPbased system execution environment. Support the SGEOGalileo SVF infrastructure development including Integration of HDSW Simulator Supporting the Definition, implementation and execution of mission scenarios simulations. Support the LisaPF test execution on LPF SVF. General support to Division laboratory infrastructure improvements Provide adhoc technical assessments and advice on software related issues Contribute to the exchange of lessons learned Support colleagues on technical issues where your expertise can come to bear. Project support related to all technical aspects development and qualification of flight software. Further supporting tasks in the following areas Interface adaptations between SVF and Test Bench models. Adaptation and upgrade ATB EagleEye mission. Integration of the TSPbased system execution environment. Supporting integration of the Multicorebased system execution environment. Support dedicated projects SVF infrastructure development including processor simulator. Qualification and Experience The applicants should have A Master Degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Space Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline. Furthermore we are looking for someone with the experience in Software engineering and objectoriented programming. Space systems and space systems engineering. Programming languages CC andor others. Embedded Real Time Systems and Real Time Kernels. Microprocessors such as SPARC LEON, ARM, multicores etc. Communication protocols Mil1553, SpaceWire, CAN. Software Engineering tools. Software Engineering Standards such as the ECSSEST40C. Furthermore we are looking for someone who is able to function as part of a team because of the operational nature of the support a proactive and flexible attitude is required.
