Duties and responsibilities The Space Atmospheric Physics Group in Imperial College Londons Department of Physics is in search of a Calibration Engineer to become part of the highly successful, multidisciplinary team. This unique opportunity will enable you to contribute to magnetic field investigation of the European Space Agency Solar Orbiter Mission to study the Sun due to launch next year. Essential requirements A degree in physics, engineering or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent level of research, industrial or commercial experience is essential. It is also essential to have experience in one or more programming languages including Python andor C as well as in writing, testing and maintaining software pipeline or software modules for processing data. An interest in space hardware and in plotting and analysing experimental data is highly desirable, however, we are also interested in hearing from software minded graduates who excel at problem solving and like to be challenged. Further information This is a full time, fixedterm position for 2 years, with the possibility of extension subject to funding.
