HE Space is a successful international space company. For over 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a Space Avionics Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Space Avionics Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will be responsible for the engineering in development of digital Avionics components and architectures to be applied in orbital systems, and you will have the following tasks Specification of avionics components and architectures compliant with the European Cooperation on Space Standardization ECSS guidelines and customer standards Definition of electrical interfaces. Performance of associated and compatibility analyses and generation of related documentation Writing of technical documentation e.g. project plans, development and verification documents Support for configuration management Plan and manage the avionics design, development, manufacture and test according to ECSS Standards Analysis of customer requirements and assessments of technical consequences Development and description of technical concepts Verification and testing of communication systems and components. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in electronics, aerospace engineering or an equivalent qualification Previous professional experience in development, manufacturing testing and use of complex electronic systems and components Previous professional experience as an avionics engineer for space applications Knowledge of digital communication standards e.g. Time Triggered, USB, Ethernet, SpaceWire or WiFi Knowledge of embedded systems, bus systems and processors is required High interest in technical challenges Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of German is an advantage Readiness for business travel.
