Space Operations Team Vacancy for Operation Team Member Redu Space Services RSS has a vacancy for a member of the Space Operations Team at the ESA Redu Station in the Ardennes region of Belgium. The Space operations team provides monitoring and operations support to a wide variety of projects and missions Currently supporting Artemis, Proba 1, 2 and V, Galileo and in the near future the operations of the EDRS Mission Operations Centre EDRS MOC and Backup Feeder Link BFLGS. The Space Operations continue 247 and as a member of the Team you will be part of the work within the Operations Rota. In this position you will Operate the ESA RSS Systems for the day to day activities Prepare all planning activities as required Provide analysis and support for Anomaly identification and first line rectification of problems Provide assistance in the operation of hosted equipment Use the RSS TANOR or project specific anomaly and help desk tools to track issues and anomalies Participate in the new ESA and RSS development of future missions Undertake and potentially provide training in activities related to your expertise Provide support to Redu Space Services in projects and activities related to your domain of activities Provide adhoc support as requested by the company management Be part of a 247 shift team manning the Station Control room You will work in accordance with ESARSS QMS procedures and will have to work in close liaison with RSS line management for projects, study groups and with customerssuppliers. Ideal candidates should meet the following criteria Have an engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification ideally in a SpaceTelecommunications related discipline Fluent in French and English Good command of office software Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS project, etc Strong motivation and capacity of learning Familiarity with operational environment The following experience in operations of Telecommunication SatellitesFleets andor Earth Observation missions would be an asset o Good knowledge of spacecraft subsystems and experience ideally operational in one or several of the existing ESA missions o Knowledge of scripting and programming languages UNIX shell, Python, Java, Perl, html, C o Knowledge of and ideally operational experience with In Orbit Test activities o Experience in operating complex ground station networks o Good knowledge of technical systems and applications used in ground station o Good knowledge of ground station subsystems If you wish to apply for this job opportunity, please submit your application letter and CV by email to redu.secretaryesa.int
