This is a permanent position, calling for at least 5 years experience in space systems space ground segments and circa 3 years experience in project Quality Assurance roles. You will be placed on assignment based near Frankfurt in Germany for several years. Candidates should ideally be available to start in July August 2015. Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. Vast quantities of data are produced and user communities throughout the world are able to access both current and historical data sets. The demanding realtime environment places much emphasis on adherence to quality and configuration management standards and procedures. The consultant will join the Low Earth Orbit LEO division of the client and will implement QA policies and provide general QA support to the division. In detail, the consultant is expected to demonstrate sound handson experience in QA processes definition, implementation, monitoring and control sound handson experience in risks management and lessons learned processes sound experience in a rational application of quality international standards sound handson experience in managing, reporting and following of procured items knowledge of project management and project planning, including the ability to identify and report on critical paths some knowledge of requirements management tools, e.g. DOORS ability to draft management reports and executive summaries in English sound handson experience of working on collaborative programmes between different partners very good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Access good interpersonal skills, including mediation skills very good attitude to team working The main working language is English and candidates must be fluent in both reading and writing but knowledge of French also would be advantageous.
