JOB DESCRIPTION Responsibilities Duties Tasks The Analyst is responsible For the support to the Sentinels missions as a member of the Flight Control Teams FCT during the operational phases, including special operations i.e. LEOP, Commissioning, deorbiting, etc.. For the participation to testing campaigns SVT, inflight tests of the above mentioned missions. The Analyst position within the Sentinels missions includes the following responsibilities Implementation and maintenance of tools needed to manipulate the S2K based databases, to create synthetic parameters and to support the data analysis tasks, as required e.g. MSEXCEL, MSACCESS, Visual Basic, S2K Operational Language. Maintenance of spacecraft operational databases, related tools, procedures and documentation under strict configuration control. Organisation, training and operational readiness check of the spacecraft controllers assigned to the mission, in cooperation with the other Sentinels Analysts. Collection of information data regarding the performance of the mission and provision of inputs for mission reports. Provision of spacecraft control support in case of special operations where the SPACONs complement assigned to the mission is not in a position to cover the needs this task is expected to be necessary for only very limited periods of time. Support the generation of operational reports based on inputs received from other FCT members. Telemetry Data Consolidation and archiving. Support the FCT in the configuration, setup and operation of the Sentinels NDIU CORTEX and Lite. Training will be provided within the team, no previous experience required. Routine Mission plan generation supportchecking, as required. The Service Team Element is required to familiarise himherself with the missions heshe is supporting and in particular with the procedures and tools that are needed to perform the routine Spacecraft control operations. The Service Team Element will take part in test campaigns and simulations, and if necessary arrange for the participation of the spacecraft controllers. The Service Team Element will conduct regular operational readiness training and simulations with controllers proficiency training. The tasks to be performed require considerable initiative, flexibility and independence in executing the assigned tasks. Qualifications Required knowledge Knowledge of satellite or ground operations. Experience in working in an operational environment. Good experience with office automation tools, including MS EXCEL and MS ACCESS use of functions, queries, macros, reports, input forms, etc.. Programming experience, possibly with Visual Basic andor SQL. Service provision will be exclusively in English. Ability to organise, coordinate and train a SPACON team. Familiarity with operational training. Familiarity with operational simulators, ideally SimSat. Familiarity with satellite control systems, ideally SCOS2000. Familiarity with programmingscripting languages e.g. C, Java, JavaScript, S2K OL. Experience of reporting on operational systems, including generation of data analysis reports. Familiarity with effective teamwork principles and team building aspects. Some knowledge in the operation of NDIU servers in Earth Observation. Some knowledge in the operation of MUST servers. Some knowledge with Quality Management Systems and its implementation in medium to big organisations. Some knowledge or practical handson experience with mission planning systems. WHAT DO WE OFFER?
