Sprint lays off hundreds more tech, network staff

In a Friday filing with the Virginia Community Colleges System, the carrier said it was cutting 235 employees from its IT, portfolio management and network operations in Reston and Herndon, Va. The total number of layoffs, which are permanent, will be revised in either late October or early November, a Sprint spokeswoman said.
