HE Space is a successful international space company. For over 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a CFRP Development Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Structural Engineer Carbon fibre Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a midsized European company specializing in manufacture and integration of spacecraft structures, including multilayer insulation and composite structures. As part of the team, you will have the following responsibilities The candidate will substantially be involved in space flight hardware projects as well as in technology development projects in the area of CFRP structures for reflector antennas, lightweight structures, deployable structures, electronic housings, radiators and new materials. Development of CFRP structure concepts for space applications Development of CFRP products for the terrestrial market Inspection of CFRP parts and subassembly Subcontractor and supplier coordination for metallic parts manufacturing and coating Development of new CFRP related technology Identification of various suitable materials Test campaigns including definition of sample tests, selection of most suitable test institute, control progress of tests performed externally. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Masters degree in mechanicalaerospace engineering, material or physics Strong technical background CFRP materials fibre materials, resin systems, processes Fluency in both German and English.
