Please submit applications not later than 27032013 by EMAIL to Mr. Massimiliano Mazza, Head of Engineering services Satellite Operations M.Mazzavitrocisetbelgium.com cc. jobsvitrocisetbelgium.com Job Overview Static The Contractor shall perform the following tasks The Contractor shall support the generation and setup of structural mathematical models using the finite element method for structural analysis problems for Agency funded projects, taking into account the specific objectives of such analysis, covering all structural materials applied in spacecraft and launchers. Where necessary nonlinear approaches and specific solution sequences shall be applieddeveloped e.g. Nastran SOL 600, SamcefMecano, Abaqus. Heshe shall further perform the analysis, evaluate critically the results and issue relevant documentation covering all analysis steps. StabilityBuckling The Contractor shall perform the following tasks The contractor shall support the generation and setup of mathematical models for structural elastic stability problems for Agency funded projects, taking into account specific requirements attached to this type of analysis. Heshe shall perform stability analysis leading to the determination of buckling loads and deformations. Where necessary the post buckling behaviour shall be addressed, adequate nonlinear approaches used, and where relevant specific solution sequences shall be developed. Heshe shall evaluate critically the results, and issue relevant documentation covering all analysis steps. Structural ThermoElastic Modelling and Analysis The Contractor shall perform the following tasks The contractor shall support the generation and setup of mathematical models for structural thermoelastic stability problems for Agency funded projects, taking into account specific requirements attached to this type of analysis. Heshe shall perform the interpolation of the temperature maps as resulting from thermal analysis for their employment in finite element structural analysis. Heshe shall perform thermoelastic analysis leading to the determination of loads and deformations, evaluate the outcome in terms of margins of safety and stability budgets, evaluate critically the results and issue relevant documentation covering all analysis steps. Where necessary nonlinear approaches shall be considered and specific solution sequences shall be developed. ProbabilisticStochastic Tools The Contractor shall perform the following tasks The Contractor shall be capable of implementing stochastic tools and methodologies in any of the above analysis domains when relevant, e.g. based on tools like STORM and MatLab. Specific Competence Requirements o The Contractor responsible for the generation of the finite element mathematical models shall be a structural analysts with several years of experience in the field of light structures for all relevant structural materials, loads derivation and modelling in the above relevant fields. o The Contractor shall have adequate knowledge in the employment of the following software Nastran including nonlinear, DMAPs etc, Patran, DCAP, Simpack, Dytran, SamcefMecano, Abaqus, STORM or others as necessary to cover the analyses required.
