The Bremen office of our client is the industrial centre of excellence for human spaceflight, launchers and space robotics in Europe. Orion is NASAs next spacecraft to send humans further into space than ever before, beyond the Moon and even to Mars. The European Service Module ESM is Europes contribution to the ambitious Orion program. The ESM provides electricity, water, oxygen and nitrogen as well as avionics, temperature control and one of the most complex propulsion subsystems ever built in Europe. With the contract signature of the 2nd ESM vehicle, the one that will fly humans to the moon, Airbus DS builds the first human transport rated vehicle in Europe, maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Furthermore, this event reflects a new phase of industrialization in order to prepare for serial production, whereas at the same time, there will be a need for dedicated adaptations in the design based on the mission scenario chosen. Tasks and Responsibilities The holder of this position will be a member of the Supply Quality Organization for Orion ESM avionics, working in Supplier Management Teams and will be reporting within the Supply Quality Organization and to the Program Quality Manager of the Orion ESM program. Assure compliance of suppliers to Product Assurance requirements with agreed processes Establish and apply supplierproduct quality surveillance plan, verify conformity of delivered product including software if applicable, handle product non conformance Agree supplier product assurance plan and quality surveillance plans on quality delivery of product Contribute to supplier capability assessment and supplier approval when required Review and approve supplier product assurance plan, documents and standards Ensure proper implementation of the product assurance requirements by the supplier and its lower tier suppliers Follow and support equipment development through participation to development reviews, production controls and boards, establish and initiate quality surveillance plan Follow equipment production, perform and adapt quality surveillance plan, verify the conformity of delivered product through production controls and product acceptance Monitor supply quality through metrics and KPIs, evaluate supplier quality performance Ensure proper handling of product anomalies and nonconformances Perform supplier reviews or audits Ensure the implementation by the supplier of risk mitigation actions Contribute to supply quality improvement Requirements A university degree in Electronics, Quality, Supply Chain or comparable 3 years of experience in a qualityproduct assurance role in the space field Practical experience with design, development, verification and validation of flight electronic systems is highly appreciated Good knowledge of SAP and MSOffice Person with selfassurance and the ability to make decisions independently Able to work in hectic situations and a dynamic environment Service and customer orientated person with high sense of responsibility and considerable diplomatic skills in connection with a good apprehension, high motivation and reliability Fluency in English, both verbal and in writing German language skills are an advantage.
