We are currently looking for a System Engineer Galileo Receiver to support our customer in Germany. System Engineer Galileo Receiver Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will have the following responsibilities EndtoEnd engineering of navigation systems with focus on navigation signals, algorithms, receiver implementation , end user performance, laboratory experimentation and field test campaigns with focus on mass market receivers Support to system integration, verification, testing and operations Comparison of design parameters vs. test results, definition of test cases, test procedures and passfail criteria Execution of tests as well as provision of test reports Support to planning and execution of verification campaigns in the laboratory as well in real user environment field test campaigns. Evaluation of experimental results Receiver debugging, trouble shooting and anomaly investigation, procedure definition for data evaluation Analysis and comparison of performances obtained from different Galileo receivers Application of mathematical models and engineering tools in support of the system verification and validation Application of modern digital processing techniques, e.g. channel modelling, modulation and demodulation, encoding decoding techniques Measurement and analysis of system parameters and their performance in the presence of distortions, radio interference and multipath Review of the system and segment data packages and provision of review comments and reports Contribution to the consolidation of the system level design and definition including the update of the corresponding documentation Presentation of results in front of the customer. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Physics or Geodesy Several years of professional experience in in satellite system and segment engineering and in testing of GNSS receivers Detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of the satellitebased Navigation Systems GPS, EGNOS, GLONASS Deep understanding of data dissemination flow and navigation message generation and processing Deep understanding of GNSS end user constraints and GNSS applications Deep understanding of GNSS receivers and advanced practical knowledge of GNSS receiver operation Experience in Satellite navigation data evaluation, process definition and implementation, statistics determination, report generation Experience in GNSS system error distribution characterization and error propagation Experience in Requirements engineering, change management LinuxUnix, Programming in Matlab, C, C Standard engineering software e.g. DOORS, Matlab, html, shell scripting or Perl, Fortran, web, technologies Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
