The successful applicant will join Galileo Programmes. In this role you will work in the Airbus Defence Space Galileo System Support team. As part of the Thales Alenia Space System Support team, the Airbus Defence Space team provides technical assistance to the ESA Galileo Prime System Team. Your main areas of responsibilities will include Contribute to the ongoing deployment and upcoming exploitation phase of Galileo Support the maintenance of the System engineering baseline with a focus on system functional chains Contribute to functional interface integration, testing and verification activities within the Galileo ground segment, but also from Space to Ground, with a focus on system operations in preparation for the upcoming Galileo exploitation phase Review the system and segment data packages and provide review comments and reports. Contribute to the consolidation of the system level design and definition, including the update of the corresponding documentation Participate in Galileo System Engineering activities e.g. engineering board Develop engineering models and tools in support of system verification, comparing expected with measured data Perform troubleshooting and anomaly investigation and procedure definition for data evaluation Support Galileo system evolution studies Present results to the customer and at conferences This position will be based in Munich, but will require some travel within Europe. The candidate must be willing to be located at ESTEC premises. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Masters degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications or physics, geodesy or similar Several years of experience in satellite system and segment engineering, integration, verification and operation of large ground systems Detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of satellitebased Navigation Systems GPS, EGNOS, GLONASS Indepth understanding of data dissemination flow and navigation message generation and processing Indepth understanding of GNSS end user constraints and GNSS applications Experience in GNSS receiver operations Experience in standard engineering software e.g. Doors and XSDXML, Modaf, Matlab, basic knowledge of C and C Autonomy and ability to analyse complex technical problems Fluent in English and German Please apply on line for this vacancy on line at our careers site www.jobs.airbusgroup.com with your CV attached.
