For Astrium in Friedrichshafen within the area Data Processing, OnBoard SW Dependability for the department Data Processing OnBoardSW FHN we are looking for a System Engineer fm OnBoard Software Architecture. Your responsibilities will include Elaboration of user and system functional needs for satellite central software, equipment and instrument control software Generation and maintenance of related Software requirements baseline documentation on system and subsystem level Management of the Software requirements baseline in reviews with customer and between project team and software supplier during the project life cycle Perform the technical coordination between the systemlevel activities and the software development teams Support the procurement of onboard computer OBC, equipment and instrument software Support procurement of Independent Software Verification and Validation Supplier ISVV Manage and control the equipment, instrument control software and ISVV subcontractor activities Review milestone deliverables of subcontractors together with the customer and system teams Contribute to SW integration and operation on system level Contribute to analysis and investigation of reported nonconformances related to software found in system validation activities Definition and organization of software maintenance activities Support launch preparations activities w.r.t. software and LEOP and commissioning phase We are looking for candidates with the following skills Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engioneering, Information Technology or equivalent Deep knowledge of typical Software architecture and applications in satellite or avionic projects Solid knowledge of software development standards for mission or safety critical software development e.g. ECSS, DO178 Several years practical experience in embedded software requirements engineering and development Sound experiences in software requirements engineering methods and tools e.g. Doors Software project management knowledge and practice Practical experience in embedded software development and validation Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills in an international environment English and German fluent negotiation level TO APPLY click here
