We are currently looking for a System and Ground Stations Operations Preparation Engineer to support our customer in Germany. System and Ground Stations Operations Preparation Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities In this role you will provide support to the routine operations phases of the existing MTP, MSG, EPS programmes and have, among others, the following responsibilities System and Ground segment operations preparation activities Ground segment procurements for the future programmes including acceptance and validation phase Review documentation and attend formal reviews as part of the procurement process Supporting and witnessing IVV testing for future programmes Definition and maintenance of operations procedures, including system and ground segment procedures and operations guides Liaison with the spacecraft operations team to ensure the continuity and optimisation of spacecraft monitoring and control activities Day to day operations of current and future ground stations Processing and coordination of system and ground segment anomalies Analysis of ground station obsolescence, and upgrade paths within a 247 operations environment Provision of training, through written materials, practical demonstrations and presentations, to other members of the Operations and Engineering Teams. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant technical discipline or the equivalent work experience Realtime spacecraft operations environment Operations of satellites preferably in an earth observation environment Preparation and use of operational procedures, databases, displays and documentation Operations preparation and routine operations of Geostationary GEO andor Low Earth Orbit LEO satellite systems Procurement phase of ground segments for satellite monitoring and control and mission data reception, ideally in the Earth Observation domain Defining user interfaces for operations HMI, reports etc. Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
