This vacancy note concerns an onsite consulting position at ESTEC in Noordwijk in The Netherlands. System and Software Engineer 1911057 Job Description We are looking for a System and Software Engineer for our client ESTEC. As part of the System team in the projects office, you will support Avionics and space electronics procurements from early definition phase through to qualification phase. You will maintain interfaces with the relevant contractors and subsystems responsible industryresearch institute for the assigned projects as well as with the specific support at ESA PA, EEE Parts expert,etc.. You will support system reviews of the assigned projects as required and follow up technical issues arising on the assigned projects and participate in risk reduction activities. This includes validation of design, support to implementation and testing phases, generation and monitoring of missionsystem level specifications. Your tasks will include support development contracts regarding the above areas, as the activity technical responsible maintain interfaces with the prime contractors participate in progress meetings and reviews, as requested, and provide appropriate feedback on the achieved progress and results when supporting projects, heshe shall interface with ESAs project teams, the prime and lower level contractors participate in progress meetings and reviews, as requested by project work, and provide appropriate feedback on the achieved progress and results development and application incl. educational of System Engineering tools and models provide support to technical coordination activities Required Skills and Experience PhD, or Masters in Engineering, or equivalent qualification, in Space Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline. At least 4 years of relevant work experience, covering Expert knowledge of space electronics in particular avionics and communication subsystems through the complete lifecycle including design, development and AIVqualification. Expert knowledge of SC system and mission design, incl. system design modelling tools and Concurrent Engineering applied to space mission assessment and design. Knowledge of System of Systems SoS architecting and related tools such as System Architect, Focal Point, etc. and frameworks e.g. MODAF, TOGAF. Knowledge and practice in the application of ESA SE Standards e.g. ECSSE10 series and SW engineering. Desirable Skills and Experience Knowledge ofexperience in the practical application of engineeringquality standards would be an asset.
