With offices in both the UK and Germany, Thorn SDS is able to offer firstclass support and guidance throughout the application process from start to finish, developing long lasting relationships with each and every one of our candidates. The activities will cover several access control systems, intrusion prevention and detection as well as security monitoring and vulnerability management. Another task will be the support to the engineering of security systems. Main tasks will include but will not be limited to Implementation of a privileged account access management system using CyberArk Implementation of a Central User Authentication facility Study and implementation of Universal 2nd Factor U2F remote access capabilities for industry support Next Generation Firewalls network IDSIPS and malware protectiondetection host IDSIPS and malware protectiondetection mechanism to allow secure exchange of files i.e. without USBs Central security monitoring a remote SOC service interface from the central security system a Free and Open Source Software FOSS and source code security checker internal vulnerability checkers a vulnerability management remote service interface an automated patch and vulnerability management solution for highrisk systems Support to reengineering of legacy computer, networks and storage systems with respect to security aspects Furthermore, the candidate will need to help with Refinement of the related System Requirements specifications In some cases Market surveys Benchmark of existing solutions against the specifications Detailed design Implementation Testing, verification and operational validation Day to day preventive maintenance activities Identification of improvements and opportunities Anomaly investigation and processing Generation of maintenance reports Regression testing Applicants will require A knowledge and experience in design, implementation and maintenance of security systems complex systems high availability and high security needs in a 247 operating environment, preferably with environments such as operating satellites and distributed ground segment Desirable requirements are relevant and uptodate certifications valid clearance certificates experience and capability to fulfil the assigned tasks without supervision liability to ensure the strict confidentiality of the complete process A requirement for the candidate is English as they must be able to work effectively in this language.
