1. Needs Active Space Technologies VOF is looking for an experienced engineer to assume the technical lead of several projects within the company. The ideal candidate will have a systems engineering background or familiarity with the aerospace, automotive or naval industries. The work will be executed for the first two years in the headquarters of Active Space Technologies in Coimbra Portugal. 2. Duties Responsibilities The Technical Manager is responsible for Establishing the technical strategy of the product under development Understanding, monitoring, controlling and verifying the technical requirements Devising subsets of internal requirements Leading the technical team and coaching the more inexperienced members Liaising with the customer technical leads if applicable Leading the project team in design, manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing activities Reporting directly to the Project Manager and being hisher deputy in the case of hisher unavailability Producing the systemlevel documentation. 3. Minimum Requirements The ideal candidate shall have Experience in complex systems industries aerospace, automotive, naval Over 3 years of experience in a commercial project with development Ability to interpret, monitor and implement technical requirements Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, ranging from mechanical engineers to technicians Ability to work in multiple projects and multitasking Proficiency in writing technical reports. 3.1 Academic Qualification The candidate shall have an engineering degree on any of the following disciplines Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 3.2 Key Technical Experience The following aspects will be valued A multidisciplinary background will be highly valued. Knowledge or familiarity with ECSS standards and Product Assurance protocols will be highly valued Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes Knowledge of design for manufacturing DFM Familiarity with testing of aerospace critical hardware flight or nonflight. 3.3 Practical Experience The candidate will be valued for having the following background Experience in commercial project development teams Experience in the technical management of development teams 3.4 Languages English Portuguese nice to have Please apply for the email jobsactivespacetech.com with reference to VN 0098 in the subject of the message
