Overview Support the Technology Coordination Planning Office TECH on the following specific tasks Piloting the Technology Harmonisation process at European level leading to roadmaps agreed by ESA Programmes, Technical Domain leaders, Member States and Industry and monitoring the implementation Providing a secretariat function for the Technology Harmonisation Advisory Groupand Technology Advisory Working Group Establishing the European Space Technology Master Plan Supporting industrial policies relating to technologies Maintaining a database of industrial capabilities consistent with harmonisation dossiers and roadmaps, and in coordination with DIPL Interfacing with the EU for technology related matters and coordinating the Agencysupport to EU technology programmes Leading the coordination with the European Commission and European DefenceAgency of critical space technologies for European nondependence Maintaining the endtoend process for management of technology developmentwithin ESA, providing the secretariat function to different working groups, and evolving it as required to improve efficiency and use Evaluating technology development results at aggregate Agency level Contributing to actions supporting Member States in preparing and implementingNational technology RD programmes and projects. Specific qualification requirements University Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering. Relevant experience as engineer, with at least 4 years in the aerospace field. Skilled in office automation tools, and particularly in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint andVisio and email client e.g. LotusNotes. Experience in drafting and tailoring requirements documents in projects, and in supporting application of standards in projects and in drafting ITTs. Knowledge of OpenOffice and Microsoft Project. Familiarization with Requirement Management Tools e.g. DOORS and database managementsystems e.g. Oracle, MySQL or Access. Good organization, presentation and communication skills. Ability to acquire, coordinate and synthesize data and provide timely output. Ability to work in an international team environment and to interface at various levels, within and outside DTEC. Fluency in English both written and spoken is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. NOTEfor candidates with less than 10 years experience, the relevant academic transcripts must be provided in order to give a more complete candidate profile at the selection stage. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. Prior to issuing a letter of employment the applicant shall provide to Aurora a recent official document declaring that they are of good conduct from the country where currently resident. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Technology and Research Centre ESTEC at Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration in line withESA Job Class. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday.
