(Telecompaper) The Telekom Austria Group has signed a contract to acquire 100 percent of Macedonian cable TV operator Blizoo, which offers TV services, broadband and fixed voice. The acquisition, subject to regulatory approval, will enable the second-largest mobile operator on the local market, Vip Operator and Blizoo to offer bundled fixed and mobile services. Macedonia thus becomes the fourth market where Telekom Austria will offer convergent services. Blizoo has 63,000 subscribers, of which 47,000 are broadband subscribers. In 2013 its revenues amounted to approximately EUR 10 million and EBITDA reached EUR 4 million. No financial details of the takeover were disclosed.
