Telenet launches quad play and family data plans

2016-06-09 14:25:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Telenet has announced a quad play offer for households and small business users. The Wigo packs combine fixed internet, telephony and TV with mobile on multiple SIM cards per contract. Mobile data volume can be shared between users. Starting 20 June, the quad play offer is available from Telenet and Base shops, underlining the integration of the two brands. Telenet says consumer research has shown that the average customer uses 700 MB mobile data per month. This data use has doubled in 18 months' time and is still rising. The boundaries between fixed and mobile are disappearing. Three residential plans are offered, starting at EUR 100.00 per month for digital TV (74 channels, 13 are in HD) internet at 200/20 Mbps and 200 GB data cap and unlimited voice calls within the country. This pack includes two SIM cards with unlimited voice, unlimited SMS and 2 GB mobile data, shared between both users. The EUR 120.00 pack includes 5 SIM cards and 5 GB. The data cap on the fixed internet service is lifted. EUR 140.00 per month buys 10 GB of mobile data, shared between five users. Wigo Business for the SoHo market includes TV, internet (with a 3 TB data cap) unlimited voice calls and 4 GB mobile data for two devices, for EUR 100.00 per month. This data allowance can be increased to 10 GB/5 SIMS for EUR 135.50 or 15 GB/5 SIMS for EUR 155.50. Also included is a separate business help desk. Telenet says many Belgian households have multiple subscriptions, often with several providers. 51 pct. of the Telenet customers can save money if they switch from a Whop or Whoppa triple play to a Wigo pack. Telenet will approach 72.000 households that already have fixed and mobile on separate contracts.
