Textile fiber prices have continued falling in the last weeks before eventually stabilizing over a rebound of crude oil prices and a return of optimism on financial and commodity markets. Polyester, viscose, acrylic or nylon 6 prices are however not expected sharply recovering in the coming period, partly due to seasonal trends, with Chinese holidays looming. The slowing down economic growth in China is also negatively affecting global demand. Our tables and charts offer a 12-month price comparison of most used textile fibers, including cotton, polyester, viscose, wool, acrylic and nylon, all being available for download on a weekly basis through our historical csv file.
