We are currently looking for a Gateway Operations Centre GOC Supervisor to support our customer in Turkey. Turkey Gateway Operations Centre Supervisor Key Tasks and Responsibilities Avanti is a world leader in satellite data communications. It pioneered the use of high throughput satellites at the Kaband frequencies. Major organisations are now using Avantis networks for cellular backhaul, IP trunking, complex government and enterprise networks and video services, as well as broadband. Reporting to the Senior Manager Gateway Payload Operations, you will have the following responsibilities Control project execution and support equipment vendors Monitor realtime Turkey GOC operations, tracking and reporting progress Provide technical support in implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting Acquire necessary resources and materials RF and network cabling Forecast future trends in the project Identify problems to be investigated if necessary Ensure reliability of equipment and services Ensure that procedures are updated, followed, and implemented correctly Support Senior GOC Manager in producing reports on operational activities Support Senior GOC Manager in regular operational teleconference calls Coordinate operational issues as necessary Ensure continued availability of all operational applications within Turkey GOC Ensure strict Change Control Policy Authority to Work is adhered to within Turkey GOC and its operational systems Ensure correct logging and fault reporting at the Turkey GOC Provide support for operations testing of all new software releases pertaining to applications within the Turkey GOC Support the Senior GOC Manager in reviewing future development plans, purchasing equipment and services in a timely and cost effective manner and maintaining equipment inventories. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Ability to efficiently organise and coordinate workload Ability to work autonomously and effectively as part of a team Previous project management experience Knowledge of satellite technology and RF transmissions A degree level in a technical discipline or equivalent experience Experience of working directly with prime contractors Fluency in both English and Turkish is mandatory Willingness to travel frequently.
