Turkey's clothing exports have recovered this year, being boosted by the sharp fall of the lira. Turkey has also again benefited from its proximity with the European Union, in addition to its duty-free access. The Turkish economy is however cooling off whereas inflation rates have reached 20% and financial costs have surged, with the Turkish lira rebounding in the past months in addition. EU's imports from Turkey are also compared with shipments from other origins, including volume, value and unit value changes in euro and US$ terms.
