Tyson Foods blows past expectations with fiscal year income at $864 million

Thanks to an operating income boost of 20% and record annual sales of $37.58 billion, Tyson Foods blew past market expectations and posted quarterly income of 87 cents per share and fiscal year income of $2.94 per share. The consensus of analyst estimates was the company would earn 76 cents in the quarter and $2.83 for the year.
