U.S. Apparel Imports: Latest and Long-Term Trends (Monthly Report)

US apparel imports have continued recovering in January, partly due to a rebound of Chinese shipments, in line with a shift from cotton apparel to cheaper man-made fiber apparel. Imports from Vietnam have also surged in January, however from a low level in the first month last year. Our monthly review covers US apparel import data, with historical trends being analyzed over the 2000-2018 period including cotton vs man-made fiber apparel, and China vs Rest of World (RoW) and vs Vietnam.
