Central America has lost shares of the US apparel import market after its shipments collapsed in the second quarter. The negative impact of the pandemic has been limited, however, especially in cotton apparel categories. Our report offers a comprehensive view of the US apparel imports from Haiti and the CAFTA-DR (Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic) in the first three quarters of 2015-20. US imports per product category from CAFTA-DR are compared with overall shipments. Comprehensive datasheets are available for download. [ more ]
