Mashable: A rare early-season Arctic outbreak has smashed all-time records in parts of the West, from Montana southeastward to Texas.
Temperatures there have been running more than 40 degrees Fahrenheit below average in some places, and computer models show that more Arctic air is reloading in northern Canada, poised to make its way into the lower 48 states in the next week.
