2016-01-19 14:27:00| Telecompaper Headlines

(Telecompaper) Verizon has launched FreeBee Data, a new sponsored data service to help businesses drive better engagement with mobile content on its network. The FreeBee Data service has two models. With FreeBee Data 360, available now on a beta basis, content providers can sign up to provide some or all of their mobile content to consumers. The content can be in an app or mobile website and does not use up consumers' data plans. A separate FreeBee Data offering enables content providers to sponsor specific consumer actions on a per-click basis, also free of data charges for subscribers, including mobile video clips, audio streaming and app downloads. FreeBee Data is due to enter a beta trial on 25 January.
