We are currently looking to fill a position as Video System Engineer Start date Immediately Location Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich Required skills degree in engineeringmedia technology or equivalent qualification and experience Deep knowledge of Broadcast Technology Experience with realtime video encoding and decoding systems Basic Knowledge of MPEG video encoding Knowledge of network technologies UDP, TCP, MulticastUnicast Experience with network management systems SNMP, DataMiner, etc would be an asset Onsite experience with live events would be an asset experience in scripting languages bash, Python. C Programming experience would be an asset. good general IT knowledge on Linux and Windows. presentation skills for interdiscipline interaction in an international environment would be an asset Good teamworking and communication skills Fluency in written and spoken English German would be an asset Key tasks and responsibilities operation and maintenance of the digital video systems administration, configuration and troubleshooting of the Video hardware fast action and decision making in case of failures during realtime operations Writing C scripts for the Video Management Tool according to new requirementschanges support of the 247 teams by means of oncall and onsite support outside office hours during critical mission operations Supporting Live Broadcast events with ISS astronauts integration and testing of the digital video systems for the Columbus project including market research exhibition visits e.g. IBC negotiations with audio and video equipment developers equipment testing recommend purchasing options supporting the continuous development of the systems and updating related documentations attendance in project and subsystem meetings, often with international partners like NASA, ESA, etc. some travel might be required Please send your application, your up to date CV and your salary requirements to Mrs Andrea Gerzer at hrinsyen.com before 31 October 2015.
