Hulu to Open Seinfeld: the Apartment Fan Experience in Nyc

Hulu announced today that it will create a real-world version of Jerry Seinfeld 's iconic Upper West Side apartment, complete with a show memorabilia gallery and interactive Seinfeld fan experience. Titled "Seinfeld: The Apartment," the installation will open in New York City on Wednesday, Jun. 24 to mark the streaming debut of all episodes of the series on Hulu , and will remain open to the public until Sunday, Jun. 28. Guests and fans who enter "Seinfeld: The Apartment" will have a chance to peruse an experience inspired by the apartment from one of the most popular, award-winning and one of the longest-running comedy series of all time for free.

NYC comptroller says city pays 'invisible fare' to run MTA

New York City is spending so much to run the Metropolitan Transportation Authority that it amounts to an "invisible fare" of $130 a month per household, City Comptroller Scott Stringer charged in a report released Tuesday. Stringer said an analysis by his office shows that in addition to the $5.3 billion city residents paid in fares and tolls last year, New Yorkers paid $4.8 billion in taxes, subsidies and direct expenditures to the MTA.

Reuters: Oil leaked into the Hudson River on Sunday after a transformer fire and explosion a day earlier at the Indian Point nuclear plant north of New York City, and Governor Andrew Cuomo said he was concerned about environmental damage. Cuomo visited the plant for a briefing on Sunday. The governor, who in the past has called for the plant to be shut down because of its proximity to densely populated New York City, also visited the plant on Saturday.
