United Parcel Service will begin using renewable natural gas in its fleet of delivery vehicles and tractors after signing a purchasing agreement with Clean Energy Fuels. The delivery company is working toward driving one billion miles using its alternative fuel and advanced technology fleet by the end of 2017, according to a UPS press release.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has cited Plains All American Pipeline LP's Bakersfield crude by rail terminal with a series of violations, according to a notice made public on Monday. The federal agency said in the notice the facility's owner failed to obtain valid emissions permits, install best available control technologies or provide emissions offsets as required by the local air district, according to the notice.
