Silicone Additive improves solvent borne paint/ink performance.
2015-01-21 14:30:57| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Dow Corning® 700P Additive enables formulators of white, pastel, and gray solvent borne paints and coatings to achieve stable titanium dioxide (TiO2) pigment dispersions with reduced tendency toward flooding and floating as well as improved color consistency. This low-VOC, low-odor, siloxane-based pigment dispersant also improves gloss and reduces haze. Also, heat resistance reduces yellowing effect in formulations during heat-curing and when overbaked.

Two-Shot Molding Elastomers offer alternative to silicone gaskets.
2014-12-18 14:31:00| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Impact-resistant, 2-shot STK thermoplastic elastomers, available in hardnesses from 40 Shore A to 90 Shore A, can be overmolded, twin shot molded, or coextruded in one operation. Properties and design negate need to use silicone gaskets or insert them into housings, while rubbery material improves housing and gasket aspects. Resistant to household cleaning products, elastomers overmold onto diverse substrates: PC, ABS, PC/ABS, acrylic, PBT, PS, PP, PE, copolyester, and polyamides.

Electric, Partial Vacuum Oven cures silicone and rubber.
2014-12-12 14:30:49| Industrial Newsroom - All News for Today
Used for curing silicone and EPDM rubber weather stripping, 12 ft x 7 ft 10 in. x 9 ft 7 in. electrically heated partial vacuum oven has 400°F operating temperature (500°F max) and vacuum pressure to 15 in. Hg. Oven handles 5,000 to 7,000 feet of product rolled onto reel cart, and claw-type vacuum pump exhausts vapors from process. Subsequently, vapors are condensed in receiving vessel to enable capture and reprocessing of byproducts. Hinged access door is also standard.
