Typical tasks will include Contribute to the management of workplan and other SD industrial activities Support the organisation, preparation, and closeout of reviews Identify, document and process software change requests SCRs related to delivered and existing software Participate in the acceptance process, clearing final deliveries and installation of software in collaboration with ICT Provide support for the development and definition of plans Support outreach activities in the SD area Defining and implementing the SST Core Software concept, especially in integration, test and validation Assist in the definition and development of tools to support SD system analysis and data visualisation Support the data acquisition and testing with ESA sensor system e.g. radar system in Santorcaz, TBT telescopes Perform and analyse simulations for data acquisition and processing Provide input on needed future updates and evolution of the CICD testing toolset Support the CCSDS MOIMS as technical expert for SD Support the CENCENELEC work Workplace ESOC Qualifications Minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline Required knowledge Fluent in English C1 or higher Flight dynamics Space debris analysis Observation techniques Space systems engineering System operations automated and manual Valuable knowledge ESAtailored ECSS methods for software development, testing and acceptance, as well as agile development CCSDS data formats Algorithm and SW development, testing, validation, and operations Working in geographically distributed multinational project teams Work package and project management tools and methods, ideally in the ESA context Using CI CD toolset focusing on automated and manual controlled test static code screening, dynamic functional test WHAT DO WE OFFER? Youll have the chance to work with a talented, young and international team at ESA Space Debris Office performing tasks related to Provide input to the ESAs project procurement process and participate in follow through of the activities on request by the SST segment manager Contribute to the management of workplan and other SST industrial activities Assume delegated management responsibilities in the process Provide support to the SST Segment Manager for the development and definition of plans Support the organisation, preparation, and closeout of projects Interface with the SSA IT group where this intersects the deployment and operation of SSTrelated IT infrastructure and software Represent the SST segment in coordination meetings to realise the Space Debris Monitoring needs through coordinating technical work with activities in other ESA units.
