For our customer, EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany, we are seeking for a System Engineering and Validation Support Engineer who will support the validation testing of the WEkEO The Data and Information Access Services DIAS system. Considering the wellstructured user communities and the strong relationship existing between EUMETSAT operator and data provider for Jason3, Sentinel3, Sentinel4, Sentinel5, Jason CSSentinel6, MercatorOcan Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service and ECMWF Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service, Copernicus Climate Change Service, the three organisations decided to join their efforts and implement one instance of a DIAS in partnership. This instance, hereafter referred as WEkEO DIAS, differs from other DIAS instances in a few aspects It capitalises on the existing experience and knowledge of the three organisations Its technical design is based on a federative approach integrating one Copernicus Data Provider and 3 Copernicus Services The duties will range from the preparationvalidation of the test plans of the services offered, to the support to the validation readiness review meetings Service support in System Engineering and consistencycompliance Design reviews Requirement traceability Services support to the all WEkEO partners Validation activities Generation of validation test plans Preparation and definition of test procedures Setup and execution of the test according to the test plans and test procedures Generation of test reports Support to the test readiness review and test review board preparation Service support to the defining of WEkEO evolution requirements and engineering changes based on user feedback Conduction of user feedback activities Defining evolution of engineering changes based on user feedback. Responsibilities The general activities are Initial kickoff meetings Generate a service validation test plan and test procedure documents Perform compliance and traceability of requirements AD1,AD2 Setup of test environment and execute test according to test plan and test procedures Create test scripts Generate test report documents Support as needed, EUMETSAT on test readiness reviews Update user requirements document with the users feedback provided by EUMETSAT This is a full time position, located at the customer in Darmstadt, Germany, starting ASAP. Qualifications Competencies The following skills are considered mandatory Experience with operational 247 production and the related issues, constraints and best practices Experience on requirement traceability Experience with the implementation and test of facilities and services that are governed by a strict change control process in an operational environment Experience in the creation of suitable cases, test documentation and their execution Formalized software testing functional, regression, component Formalized facility testing functional, regression, component ,integration Formalized system level testing including requirements verification Experience in verification methodology and requirements management Experience with load and benchmark testing Experience in using XML technologies for data format representation and interface documentation Experience with scripting languages in a UNIXLINUX environment Experience on cloud computing Knowledge of industry standards for interoperability OGC, Inspire Network lifecycle verification upgrade testing Network security verification test Very good command of written English and to communicate efficiently in this language. The knowledge of the following aspects will be considered an advantage Experience with commonly used test tools including browser testing tools, such as SeleniumHQ, JMeter, Expect, Junit, Jenkins A domain specific qualification. We are looking for a master degree educated space flight dynamics engineer with solid experience in FORTRAN programming under Linux to supplement our astrodynamics team at ESOC.
