Reddish, non-flammable liquid, which carries pine odor, has petroleum base and 147°F flashpoint. Other properties include 0.86 specific gravity, 35,200 V dielectric strength, and 23.6% VOC content (203 g/L, 1.7 lb/gal).

General Mills faces class action over toxic solvent contamination

The class action will be split into two phases - one to address liability issues and the second to consider damages General Mills is being sued by a group of Minneapolis residents over its poor waste disposal of toxic cleaning solvents at an old R&D center more than 50 years ago. A district judge ruled the case could proceed as a class action against General Mills following claims from a group of residents that vapors of the carcinogen trichloroethylene were present in homes and threatening inhabitants and business owners in the area.

This low-VOC, low-odor, siloxane-based pigment dispersant also improves gloss and reduces haze. Also, heat resistance reduces yellowing effect in formulations during heat-curing and when overbaked.
