Mitsubishi Electric Completes 6MW Fukushima Solar Power Station

Mitsubishi Electric Corp., a Japanese maker of machinery and electronics, completed a 6-megawatt solar power station in northern Japan . The plant in Iwaki city, Fukushima prefecture, was built for a venture between Mitsubishi Corp. and Mitsubishi UFJ Lease & Finance Co., Mitsubishi Electric said in a statement today.

Fukushima operator to miss deadline on decontaminating water

The operator of the wrecked Fukushima nuclear plant, Tokyo Electric Power Co, said it would not be able to meet a self-imposed deadline to decontaminate water containing highly radioactive substances by the end of March.
